Nashville SC lost 2-1 away to Indy Eleven Saturday April 14, 2018 despite having the better of play for the majority of the game. While a tough loss to take there were many encouraging signs especially from an offensive standpoint. The match got off to a poor start as a defensive error left Pickens in a 1 v 1 in which he was beaten. Things got worse around the 30′ when a free kick from distance fooled Pickens. He moved to his right exactly when the ball started to curve to his left. He was frozen watching the ball sail into the back of the net. His worst half of the season, but given how great he’s been it was bound to happen. Down 2-0 Nashville SC displayed an attach it hasn’t all season. The pressure included hitting a crossbar before the prettiest goal of the season just before half. Moloto was just able to center the ball square from the line and Ropapa Mensah poked it home. The momentum carried through to the second half with Nashville having the better of possession and chances. Despite being close a couple of times it never came. Nevertheless, it was a good performance on the road against what should be a playoff team. Ropapa and Winn starting together looked good. There is a lot to look forward to.
